What if the earth suddenly stops??

What if the Earth suddenly stops spinning?? 



  • Earth ,also known as the living planet of our solar system and the only planet which has the power to support life. The Giant ball has a diameter of 12,742 km and is spinning at an rapid speed of approximately 1610 kilometers per hour. But did you ever thought what would actually happen if the earth suddenly stops spinning ,sounds freaking but did you know that The earth spins at an average sped of 100 mph at the equator and if it suddenly stops everything that isn't tied down would go flying eastwards at a speed of more than 1000 mph ,this includes the atmosphere creating winds as strong as an atomic blast.
  • And the momentum would send the giant tsunamis sweeping more than 17 miles inland in less than a minute, and an entire earth day would become 365 days long it means 6 months of scorching sunshine and the rest six months of frigid night .The sun would change its routine and now you can see the sun will shine from the west and sets in the east just once a whole year. 




  • You can understand the fact by an example that suppose you own a super car and one day you thought of trying the car to its top most speed say 1000 miles per hour and you starts driving the car at the same speed and suddenly you see a stop breaker and you hit the breaks and the car stops but now what about you and the other objects in a car are still in the inertia of motion and after hitting the breaks it's flying time for you, sounds funny but this is what exactly what happens if the Earth suddenly stops spinning, all the objects on the earth will be in inertia of motion and suddenly starts flying eastwards. 



  • The earth's spin creates a centrifugal force that causes a bulge at the equator and if it suddenly stops spinning, over the time the bulge will flatten out. And due to this stoppage of earth the gravitational force would increase at the poles and the oceans would start to migrate to the both poles where gravity is strongest, which creates two super oceans and at the poles and one giant continent in the middle of the two super oceans. 



  • But that's not end here only. Due to the earth's spinning, a Magnetic field is created which helps the earth to survive harmful solar winds and cosmic rays which were created by the sun and when the earth stops spinning the magnetic field will starts to fade away slowly leaving the earth exposed to the deadly cosmic rays leaving almost no chance for the living beings to survive and ultimately the end of one of the most beautiful planet of the solar system the earth. 


  • Another fact is that ,the fastest winds ever recorded on earth are 253 miles per hour but here in this case the winds are almost 4 times stronger winds you have to deal with, but it's not happening now. The world will one day stops spinning but in about 18.5 billion years but it seems we have a lot of time, so for now enjoy your time and make your days and nights great....
